“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” (1975) at the Cerrito, Thursday, July 14, at 9:30 p.m.

And now for something completely different at the Cerrito on Thursday, July 14, at 9:30!

Who else but the Monty Pythons could turn the quest for the Holy Grail into inspired lunacy? One critic said the movie contains more laughs per minute than any other movie he’s ever seen.

We’re in the land of medieval England, but there’s no Robin Hood around. Instead we have King Arthur, played by Graham Chapman and his eccentric fellow-Python Knights: John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Terry Gilliam—playing multiple hilarious roles.

The off-the-wall epic send-up shot in the rugged Scottish Highlands shows the makeshift band encountering a three-headed knight, a killer bunny, and countless other amazements. Filled with thrills, spills, and especially, laughs.

“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” plays once only on Thursday, July 14, at 9:30 p.m. All seats are $9.00. Moviegoers are strongly urged to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as many shows sell out. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
