A unique mélange of adventure, romance, fantasy, and comedy, “The Princess Bride” has earned a devoted audience since it debuted in 1987.

Set in the time of Robin Hood, “The Princess Bride” is a fairy tale come to life with the brave and handsome suitor (Cary Elwes) who must win his entrancing lady (Robin Wright), against the evil and all-powerful prince (Chris Sarandon). We are immersed in a land of gorgeous vistas and feudal castles, with ruthless villains, all-out combat, hair-raising escapes, and melting romance. Also, many, many laughs along the way, with a cast that includes Wallace Shawn, Mandy Patinkin, André the Giant, Christopher Guest, and Peter Falk. You’ll never forget a scene with Billy Crystal and Carol Kane, as unrecognizable crones.

Director Rob Reiner brings it all together, as he did with his earlier tour de force, “This is Spinal Tap.”
