The Cerrito Theater–Cerrito Celluloid

A ten minute film focusing on the rebirth of an Art Deco neighborhood movie theater in El Cerrito, California. The film features archival photos and interviews with some of the people critical to the renovation. It also features interviews with El Cerrito locals who worked at and went to the theater in its heyday. Produced by Sean Frame of Frame-by-Frame Productions.

This is an example of a 20 minute short presented as theater guests are seated before the feature film. The opening few minutes highlights the theater’s history, renovation and rebirth.
