“Big” brings to delightful life the old saying: “Be careful what you wish for — it might come true.”

The wish, of course, in this case is when Tom Hanks, as a twelve-year-old suburban kid Josh, wishes that he were big. Hanks is ideal for the role—just boyish enough (and goofy-looking enough). The adventures that Josh experiences after his wish comes true will keep you amazed and delighted. They include getting a real job and a romantic involvement.

“Big” plays once only on Thursday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. Moviegoers are strongly advised to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as the movie may sell out. All seats are $9.50. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
