Laughs are guaranteed at “9 to 5” at the Cerrito on Thursday, March 9 at 9:30!

Star power arrives big time with Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton in “9 to 5.”

Vincent Canby of the New York Times summarizes thus:

…three office revolutionaries who kidnap their male chauvinist boss, rewrite all sorts of sexist office rules and assumptions, become involved with a strange corpse, smoke pot, get drunk, discover the joys of sisterly relationships and, in the process, raise office efficiency to a new, all-time high.

The harasser- and hypocrite-in-chief is played to perfection by Dabney Coleman.

After the movie, the fun continues as you debate how much—or not—has changed since 1980, when the movie was made.

“9 to 5” plays once only on Thursday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. All seats are $9.00. Moviegoers are strongly advised to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as many shows sell out. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
