The Coen Brothers have a way with a movie! The writer-directors created a Classic, with Jeff Bridges playing Jeff Lebowski, who insists on being called “The Dude”: a laid-back, easygoing burnout who happens to have the same name as a millionaire whose wife owes a lot of dangerous people a whole bunch of money. This results in The Dude having his rug soiled—a rug that really tied the room together. His quest for restitution sends him spiraling into the Los Angeles underworld.

Critic Roger Ebert, who rated the movie four-stars, describes it thus:

It involves kidnapping, ransom money, a porno king, a reclusive millionaire, a runaway girl, the Malibu police, a woman who paints while nude and strapped to an overhead harness, and the last act of the disagreement between Vietnam veterans and Flower Power. It has more scenes about bowling than anything else.

If you haven’t met The Dude yet, you owe it to yourself to do so. If you know The Dude, you’ll want to abide with him right now!

”The Big Lebowski” plays once only on Thursday, March 10, at 9:30 p.m. All seats are $9.00. Moviegoers are advised to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as the show may sell out. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
