Let’s Help the Cerrito and Elmwood Get Over This Latest Hurdle!

Dear Friends,

Rialto Cinemas was planning to re-open the Cerrito Theater on November 20, and the Elmwood Theater on November 25. Recent health orders for Contra Costa and Alameda Counties have made this impossible. To make it past this setback, they’ve increased the goal of their GoFundMe campaign from $75,000 to $125,000.

Please, if you’re able, won’t you consider donating to their GoFundMe campaign? If you’ve already contributed, please consider making another contribution. Just click on this link.

Also, Rialto Cinemas, in a new program they call Popcorn Pick-Up, is going to sell food from the Cerrito every Saturday starting on November 21, and from the Elmwood every Sunday starting on November 22. Both theaters will sell popcorn, sodas, and candy. In addition, the Cerrito will sell nachos, burgers, two kinds of pizza, quesadillas and chicken tenders. The hours will be 2:30pm to 5:30pm. More details are on the Rialto web site. Buying snacks and other food from these theaters will help keep them going until they’re able to resume normal business.

Thanks for helping to keep our theaters going in these tough times!
