“Beetlejuice” (1988) at the Cerrito, Thursday, October 13, at 9:30 p.m.

Halloween is just around the corner; time to take in director Tim Burton’s special brand of scariness at the Cerrito on Thursday, October 13 at 9:30 p.m.!

Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam (Alec Baldwin) are a particularly charming couple, who love their life and their country home. But misfortune strikes when they die in a silly accident, and complications ensue.

They discover that they are now ghosts who still live in their country home, but it has been bought by an unbearable New York family, the Deetzes, with big remodeling plans. The ghosts hire Beetlejuice, played by Michael Keaton who advertises himself as an exorcist, to get rid of the Deetzes…but instead, life gets weirder and weirder.

“Beetlejuice” plays once only on Thursday, October 13, at 9:30 p.m. All seats are $9.00. Moviegoers are strongly advised to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as many shows sell out. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
