“Back to the Future” at the Cerrito on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00

Go Back to the Past and See “Back to the Future”!

The next movie in the Cerrito Classics series is “Back to the Future,” directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover. Fox plays Marty McFly, a teenager who befriends mad scientist Doc Brown, the inventor of a time machine in the form of a DeLorean car (seeing a DeLorean today is itself like taking a trip to the past). They end up transported back to 1955, when Marty’s parents are still in high school. Marty wants to get to his “home” time of 1985, but he has a big problem. His presence in 1955 has disrupted things such that his parents George and Lorraine might never get together, and if that happens, Marty will never be born. Marty must play matchmaker for his own parents while navigating an unfamiliar world of the past, and then he and Doc must use the DeLorean to return to the right time.

“Back to the Future” will play only once at the Cerrito, on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. Moviegoers are strongly advised to buy advance tickets at the box office or online, as the feature may sell out. All seats are $9.50. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
