Northern California’s First Ever ‘Walk Of Fame’

The nonprofit Friends of the Cerrito Theater offers a unique opportunity for supporters to memorialize their sponsorship in the Cerrito’s Walk of Fame, with a personalized sidewalk star.

Cerrito Theater’s 'Walk of Fame' is based as a miniature version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While other cities, such as London and Hong Kong have Walks of Fame, this will be a first for Northern California and will help put the Cerrito Theater on the map. The Friends have planned for a total of 20 stars.

Placed immediately underneath the restored marquee, the stars will be built into the sidewalk and inscribed with up to 25 characters within a brass plaque. Supporters are free to choose their own verbiage.

The full list of donor options is as follows:

  • $5000: Personalized Star in the ‘Walk of Fame’ (Total of 20 starts, space still available)
  • $1,000-$4,999: “Film Reel” Plaque in Gold on Lobby area Donor Wall
  • $500-$999: “Film Reel” Plaque in Silver on Lobby area Donor Wall
  • $250-$499: “Film Reel” Plaque in Bronze on Lobby area Donor Wall
  • SOLD OUT $100-$249: Plaque on theater furniture (limited number)
